Doc Didier Wong is a French-Mauritian artist, art and design educator, and a Ph.D. in Art and Art Science from Sorbonne University. He was born in Mauritius and spent his childhood there before moving to France to study Fine Arts in Toulouse and Paris.
Didier is an engaged artist. His paintings are very colorful and very expressive quite close to street art. Didier uses his artworks to point out the wrongs of our society. Even though he lives in Paris, his home country is very much present in most of his paintings through the subjects that he treats and also the different languages that he uses (English, French, Mauritian Creole and Chinese). He represents perfectly the Mauritian diaspora and makes Mauritius shine brightly abroad. Didier exhibits mostly in France and Mauritius.
