To summary my art.
It’s simple and complex at the same time:
At first glance it looks like an empty box in a frame. But look closer and a story starts emerging.
I tell relatable stories in my art pieces. The stories are told by tiny figures in different positions. When you first look at the frame, all you see is a box, come closer and the people in the box starts to emerge. So to relate to yourself, If you are close to your true self you will see yourself (the people) and your life (the box), BUT if you move away to far from your true self you will get lost (the people disappear) but you will still have your structure in life ( the box)
I use three different colours of the people in my art. Transparent, white and gold.
Transparent is about insecurity
Gold is about confidence
White is the journey between transparent and gold.
You can be all three stages at the same time, but in different parts of your life. You jump often in between the three stages.
The boxes are also very tall in comparison to the tiny figures. This is because you always need enough space above your head for your dream to fly free. The moment you start to compress that space, you are out on thin ice.
The overall concept is DARE TO BE DIFFERENT - BE YOU. Follow your dreams and goals, do your thing.
